Divas dienas līdz Boltik Baik atklāšanai !

Sagatavošanās bija vienreizēja, vēl tikai pirms nedēļas mēs par šo visu tikai runājām un plānojām.

Mēs nofilmējām divus video (teasers) un tas bija fantastiski ! Divus mēnešus es neko nerediģēju, nefilmēju, bet tagad mums bija tā iespēja režisēt un izveidot šos dīvainās un jautrās atmosfēras video. Pavadījām trīs stundas aukstās katakombās, lai lapsa varētu izveidot savu ērmriteni. Tāpat arī pludmalē, kur ieraudzījām nelielu ieskatu par to, kā varētu notikt ērmriteņu parade. Tas viss man bija lielisks pirmais solis, lai iejustos īstajā noskaņojumā. Tā kā es nekad nebiju piedalījusies Boltik Baik, biju ļoti priecīga, ka Radi Vidi Pats novērtēja šos video un uzskatīja, ka tie patiešām atspoguļo festivāla būtību!

Nedēļas nogalē es aizbraucu uz mājām, un kad atgriezos viss attīstījās 200km/h. Tik daudz kas notika un tik daudz ko vēl vajadzēja paveikt, kad es atbraucu. Pagalms ir gatavs sveikt cilvēkus, mūsu kupolu nozaga, tāpēc bija jāievācas noliktavās, kurām bija nepieciešamas pilnīgas pārvērtības.

Tikai aptuveni četrās dienās, veltot tam daudz laiku un priecīgas enerģijas, rezultāts ir brīnišķīgs: bārs, filmu ekrāns, skatuve – tas viss tagad gaida kažokā tērptu trakumu.

Dekorācijas, pēc lielām pārdomām, mainot plānus, padarot tās aizvien labākas un labākas, tagad ir uzstādītas. Tagad tikai gaida ultravioletās lampas un ciemiņu sapņus.

Man šķiet, ka Boltik Baiks sākās jau šonedēļ. Ar trakām stundām, gardiem zupu paraugiem (kur es pirmo reizi mazgāju traukus ar ūdeni un smiltīm...), smagu darbu, uzplaiksnījoši radošuma mirkļi kopā ar dekorāciju komandām, vai komanda, kura pārvērta noliktavu vietā – vietā kur es nevaru vien nociesties pavadīt šo nedēļu. Un es sajutu īstu kopības sajūtu, visi viens otram palīdz, lai radītu šo vietu un notikumu. Un protams, šis viss ar vasaras pieskaņu un vasaras ballītēm.

Vakarnakt, pa pusei apdullusi no krāsošanas darbiem, kurus veicu divas stundas, vieta bija gatava. Gaismas izslēgtas, ieslēgtas ultravioletās lampas. Un tur tas ir – ērmīgi iedvesmojošais Boltik Baik, par kuru runājām un sapņojām. Viss, kas tam tagad ir vajadzīgs – cilvēki un viņu iekšējie dzīvnieki, lai to atdzīvinātu.

Mirkli pēc tam, kad palūkojos uz noliktavas gala rezultātu, Stas man pateica, ka kaut arī Boltik Baik koncepts vienmēr ir palicis tas pats, tas vienmēr izvēršas fantastiskā veidā citādāks, pateicoties vietai un cilvēkiem, kuri tajā ieliek sevi visu, lai tas varētu notikt gadu pēc gada.

Kad lasīju par Boltik Baik, man nebija ne jausmas, ko sagaidīt, un kad mēneši šeit ritēja, Boltik Baik ideja man vēl joprojām šķita nedaudz miglaina. Un tagad es stāvu šīs noliktavas priekšā, es vēl joprojām patīkami satraukti brīnos, kā tas viss norisināsies šajā īpašajā nedēļā...

It's Boltik Baik time!

Two days before the launching of Boltik Baik !

The preparation has been spectacular, the week before we were only just planning and talking.

We shot the two trailers and that was fantastic, after two months I did not edit or shoot anything, and now we got to direct and edit those teaser with a freaky and fun atmosphere. Spending 3 hours in the cold catacombs so that the fox can have a freakbike or on beach and see a glimpse of what the parade will look like was a great first step for me to get into the mood. Since I have never been on Boltik Baike I was really happy that Radi Vidi Pats found the videos reflecting pretty well the spirit of the festival !

For the week-end I went back home, and when I came back everything was advancing at 200km/h. So many things happened and needed to be done when I arrived. The backyard is ready to greet people, the Kuppola got stolen so we have to move to the barn that needs a complete make-over.

In only 4 days or so, and a lot of time and joyful energy, the result is brilliant : a bar, a film screen, a stage are now waiting for the furry madness.

The decorations, after a lot of thoughts, changing plans, that were getting better and better, are now in place. Waiting for the UV lights and dreams of the visitors.

I feel that Boltik Baike started this week. With crazy hours, delicious sample-soups (where I washed for the first time a dish with sand and water...), hard works, flashing creativity with the decoration teams, or the team that turned a barn into a place - where I cannot wait to spend this week. And I got a real feeling of community, everyone helping out to make this place come true. And of course all of this with a taste of summer and summery parties.

Yesterday night , half stoned due to the painting job I had done for 2 hours, the place was ready. The light turned off, the UV light lit up. And there it is, the freaky inspiring Boltik Baike that we have been talking, dreaming about. All it needs now is people and their inner animals to make it alive.

Right after seeing the almost final look of the barn, Stas told me that even though the concept of Boltik Baike remained the same, it always turns out fantastically different, thanks to the location, the people putting themselves out there to make it happened years after years.

When I read about Boltik Baike I had no ideas what to expect, and as months went by here, the idea was still quite blurry. And now that I am in front of the barn, I am still  excitingly wondering how it will be during this special week...

Svinības. Pirmo reizi, kad dzirdēju par Radi Vidi Pats projektu, uzreiz sajutu vēlmi piedalīties un palīdzēt tajā. Man liekas, ka ceļš ir veids kā iepazīt dzīvi harmonijā ar dabu. Braukt ar riteni nozīmē būt kustībā. Tas nozīmē sajust katru akmeni, soli, katru gludo iestaigāto taku saprātā un lidot cauri atmiņām. Nepazaudējot no redzes loka savu mērķi, kurp vēlies doties. Pat tad, ja tam nav ne vārda,ne laika, ne izskata. Sajūti vēju un esi brīvs kā vējš.
Radi Vidi Pats māca, kā izveidot un uzturēt riteni kārtībā. Vienmēr iedrošinot uz pašiniciatīvu un mācīšanos no pieredzes praksē, pieskaroties detaļām un liekot tās kopā kā puzli. Šī pieeja ir pietiekama un izmantota uzreiz, saucot to par: Praksi ietverošu teoriju.
Festivāls tuvojas un darbs Radi Vidi Pats ģimenē paliek aizvien vairāk. Ego neapmierinātība par to, ka nav pietiekoši daudz laika sev. Sarunāšanās ir laba, tā atgādina par mūsu mērķi, kas ir parādīt zaļo dzīves veidu, to kā apzināties savas rīcības sekas. “Up-cycling” – otrreizējā lietu pārstrāde, tā ir mācība par to, lai nelūkotos uz atkritumiem kā tikai kaut ko nevajadzīgu. Pārvērt šos atkritumus par kaut ko noderīgu, estētisku. Apzinies savu rīcību, zinot, ka varam kaut ko mainīt, kaut arī esam nodarījuši dabai pāri.
Festivāls Boltik Baik tās ir svinības. Velosipēda, kas ir darba rīks,kas atļauj viegli ceļot neizmantojot dzīvniekus kā objektus,vai fosilo degvielu kā balsta un kustības enerģiju. Šis festivāls radošā un izbaudāmā veidā svin šo cilvēces izgudrojumu – velosipēdu.
Ar velosipēdu mēs izmantojam ķermeņa enerģiju un svinam dzīvi ripojošā kustībā. Viņi ir dzīvnieki,kas seko ceļam, meklējot jaunus izaicinājumus laimes dejā, pilnā ar krāsām, kas mirdz fluorescējoši mēnessgaismā un saulē. Dzīvnieki ārprātā, ceļojums, kas uzreiz liekas kā dzīve. Boltik Baik festivāls ir dalīšanās pieredzē, smaidi, spēks darīt, ceļošana, un iepazīšana, pāri vibrējošu kastu (mašīnu) komfortam. Dejas,mūzika, dalīšanās, velosipēdi – viss tas pievērš uzmanību un iztēli.
Ērmriteņi kā dažādu formu un krāsu dzīvnieki, tiem ir viens mērķis – kustēties un iepazīt. Tā piedzimst ērmi, brīvi peldot, vairojot pārmaiņu vīziju, piedāvājot smaidu būt brīviem.
Kažokā ir spēks.

Mana projekta nosaukums ir Rock and Ride projekta Boltik Baik ietvaros. Es gaidīju šo pasākumu jau kopš oktobra. Esmu bijusi uz vairākiem festivāliem: drāmas, filmu, literatūras, bet mākslas festivāls, kur par materiālu tiek izmantoti velosipēdi??
No simtiem velosipēdu detaļu, kuras esam savākuši pēdējo divu mēnešu laikā ir grūti un satraucoši iedomāties, ka tie pārvērtīsies spēcīgā ziņā, lai aicinātu cilvēkus izmantot riteņus un, protams, radīt arī mākslu. Šķiet, ka Boltik Baik ir spēcīgs un krāšņš festivāls... kas ir diezgan biedējoši, vesela nedēļa, 24/7, piepildīta ar koncertiem, pasākumiem, ēst gatavošanu, runāšanu un tamlīdzīgi. Es nevaru sagaidīt, kad pieredzēšu šo visu un redzēšu kādā stāvoklī  būšu šīs nedēļas beigās.
Esmu šeit jau divus mēnešus un šis ir viens no svarīgākajiem pasākumiem, kuru gaidu jau ilgi, bet jāatzīst, ka man ir nedaudz bail no... Palūkosim. Komanda ir vienreizēja, un enerģija kādā noris gatavošanās ir tik spēcīga un jau radoša: plakātu veidošana, video . Bet var būt arī diezgan smagi: tīrīt visu pagalmu, lai padarītu festivālu pēc iespējas aicinošāku. Man šķiet, ka gatavošanās festivālam arī iepazīstina ar to, kāds būs pats festivāls, no 9.maija līdz 15. maijam: spraigs, krāšņš un grūts.





NINA
Nina no Slovākijas, stude mākslu visapkārt Eiropai.
Pirmo reizi saskāros ar Boltik Baik pagājušo gad, kad ierados Liepājā uz apmācībām par zaļu dzīves veidu pilsētvidē. Mūsu laiks Liepājā bija diezgan saspringts. Mēs pavadījām dienas daloties prasmēs, mācoties un rokoties savos prātos un sirdīs. Tāpēc bija jauki, ka tajā pat nedēļā norisinājās arī Boltik Baik. Vakaros mēs varējām izbaudīt vietējo mūziķu uzstāšanās, dziļas sarunas pie ugunskura un dažāda veida radošas izklaides.
Gadam ritot es glabāju šīs patīkamās atmiņas savā sirdī un brīdī, kad es domāju, ko darīt tālāk savā dzīvē, man uzrakstīja Linda. Vai es vēl joprojām būtu ieinteresēta būt par brīvprātīgo Radi Vidi Pats. Atklāti sakot, vienīgā lieta, kas mani mēģināja atturēt no idejas uzreiz doties turp bija laika apstākļi, kuri zināju, ka sagaidīs mani Latvijā aprīlī un maijā (ar tiem tad arī man šobrīd ir grūti sadzīvot). Visādi citādi RVP kā organizācija un Boltik Baik kā prasmju apgūšanas pieredze man bija ideāli piemērota.
Zinot cilvēkus, kuri darbojas Radi Vidi Pats, apzinoties kādos veidos viņi darbojas, man nebija šaubu, ka tā būs viena no pašām svarīgākajām pieredzēm manā vēlamajā nākotnē. Man bija savas zināšanas festivālu organizēšanā, tāpēc es ļoti vēlējos to darīt vēl kādu reizi – Boltik Baik 2016.
Tā kā mēs visi (brīvprātīgie) nākam no mākslnieciska vai radoša vides, ir ļoti patīkami kopā dalīties ar idejām. Vēl labāk bija tas, ka visi piekritām vienai atmosfērai un tēmai šī gada festivālam. Ērmīgi trakām dzīvnieku svinībām!
Apkārt Radi Vidi Pats notiek tik daudz skaistu lietu. Daudzi vietējie ir mums ļoti līdzīgi. Ikviens ir aicināts pievienoties un katram ir sava radošā telpa. Ir vienreizēji klausīties visas idejās un ideālos, kurus vēlamies iekļaut šajā īsajā nedēļā. Dažreiz mēs smejamies, ka es šajā visa jūtos kā mākslas režisors un patiesībā, es to tik ļoti dievinu!
Šī pieredze paver daudzas durvis mania dzīvei pēc EBD, un tas like man justies kā vērtīgai personai ar daudz noderīgām prasmēm. Es patiešām ceru, ka jums tas patiks tik pat ļoti, kā tas jau patīk mums, un mēs varēsim to visu kopā izbaudīt!

EMILIA
Esmu Emīlija, 22 gadus jauna brīvprātīgā no Ziemeļitālijas. Es ierados šeit Liepājā gandrīz pirms trīs nedēļām, kas gan jūtas it kā pirms trīs mēnešiem, un reizē arī pirms trīs dienām. Mums ir jādara ļoti daudz lietu, bet man ir gribasspēks to paveikt un paveikt to labi. Es mācos, kā tikt galā ar Radi Velo Pats darbnīcu, kad tā ir publiski atvērta visiem, kā arī cenšos kopā ar pārējiem brīvprātīgajiem un citiem cilvēkiem uzturēt to tīru un drošu. Tajā pat laikā mēs darbojamies ar galvenā  Radi Vidi Pats šīs sezonas pasākuma – Boltik Baik 2016 popularizēšanu. Patiesībā, pasākuma popularizēšana ir tas, ko man patīk darīt visvairāk, tāpēc, ka tur ir nepieciešams radošums, grupu darbs un mākslas lietas. Šonedēļ es uzzīmēju logo, kurā dzīvnieki brauc ar ērmriteņiem. Logo un plakātu uz kura tas ir izvietots varat atrast mūsu Facebook lapā. Man ļoti patika to darīt. Šī bija pirmā reize, kad plakāta veidošanai tādam svarīgam pasākumam kā Boltik Baik bija lielākoties uz maniem pleciem. No sākuma man bija nedaudz bail, bet tagad esmu ļoti priecīga un apmierināta – cerams jums patiks! Kamēr es pieliku pēdējos punktus plakāta veidošanā, pārēji brīvprātīgie montēja dīvaino un pārsteidzošo video (teaser), kuru varat atrast Facebook lapā un Youtube! Šonedēļ mēs veidosim jaunu plakātu ar kultūras pasākumu programmu, kā arī jaunu video!

A celebration. When I heard for the first time about the project Radi Vidi Pats, the first feeling was a desire to participate, to help in this. I feel that path is a way to learn a life in harmony with Nature. To ride a Bicycle is to move, it is to feel every stone, every step, every smooth trail in mindfulness, and fly through memories. Without losing the notion of site where we want to go. Even if this does not get the name, time or image. Feel the wind, and be free like the wind.
Radi Vidi Pats teaches how to build and maintain a bike to ride conditions. Always encouraging self-initiative and learning from experience in practice, touching the parts and putting them in place like a puzzle. This theory is sufficient and utilized at the instant that is transmitted: The Practice embracing Theory.
The festival is approaching and the work increases for Radi Vidi Pats Family, that creates it. Frustration from the ego to not having time to himself - Talking is good and reminds us the goal, which is to show a Green way to be aware of every action we take in life. "UpCycling" is the teaching to don´t see the garbage as useless. Turn this garbage into something useful, for esthetic. Be aware to actions, knowing that we can change them when we have harmed something.
Boltik Baik is a celebration of bikethat is a tool that allows travel easely without using animals like objects, or fossil fuels as locomotor energy. This festival, in creative and joyful way recalls this great invention of mankind: The Bicycle.
With the bike we use the body's energy and celebrate the life in rolling movement. They are animals that follow paths in search of new challenges in a dance of happiness, full of colors that glow fluorescent in the moonlight and Sun. Animals in madness, a journey that seems a life in an instant. The Boltik Baik Festival is the sharing of knowledge, smiles, power to do, travel and explore, behond the comfort of vibrating boxes (cars). Dance, music, sharing, Bicycles – all of it is attracting the attention and imagination.

Freak Bikes as animals of different shapes and colors has the same intention: to move and explore.Thus is born the Freak, swimming in the free pattern and spreading the vision of change, offering a smile to be free.

The name of my project : Rock and Ride @ Boltik Baik. Since October I have been waiting for this event. I have been to several festivals: drama, films, literature, but an artistic festival using bikes as a medium ??
Out of the hundreds of bikes parts that we have collected for over 2 months, it is hard and vibrant to imagine that they will turn into a strong message to invite people to use bikes and as well create work of art.  Boltik Baik seems to be a rich and powerful festival… which is quite scary, the work load over the week will be 24/7 of concerts, events, cooking, talking, etc. I cannot wait to see in what state I will finish this week as well as finally experience it!
2 months now that I am here, and it is one of the main events that I have been waiting for and I admit a bit afraid of… Let’s see. The team is amazing and the energy for the preparation is very reactive and already creative: poster making, teasers. And can be tough: cleaning the entire backyard to make the festival as welcoming as it can be. I feel that the preparation of the festival is announcing may 9th till may 15th: Intense, rich and tough.

My first meeting with Boltik Baik was a year ago, when I came to Liepaja for a training course focused on green ways of living in urban environment. Our time in Liepaja was pretty intense. Days we spend skill sharing, learning and pretty much digging in our minds and hearts. That’s why it was nice to have Boltik Baik happening in the same week. Night we could enjoy local musicians, deep conversations around the fire and creative fun of all kinds.
As year past, I kept these lovely memories close to my heart and in the time when I was thinking what to do next with my life, Linda wrote me, if I would be (still) interested in volunteering for Radi Vidi Pats. Honestly, the only thing that kept me from going 100% for this idea was the weather that I knew I will catch in Latvia in April and may (that I’m currently struggling with). Otherwise RVP as an organisation and Boltik Baik as skill-gaining experience was a perfect fit.
Knowing people in RVP, being aware of the ways they are working, I had no doubts it will be one of the most important experiences for my dreamed future.
I had some know-how with organising a festival, so I was really looking forward to be part of another one / Boltik Baik 2016.Because all of us (EVS volunteers) are coming from artistic or creative background, it’s really nice to brainstorm together. Even better feeling was that we all agreed on the same atmosphere and theme of this year’s festival. Freaky ravey animal celebration!
There are so much beautiful things happening around organisation. Many local (Latvian) people are on the same page with us. Every person is welcomed and has their space in creation. It’s amazing to hear all the ideas and ideals that we want to fit in this short week. Sometimes we are laughing that I feel like art-director of this all, and honestly, I love it so (too) much!
This experience is opening a lot of doors to my life after EVS, and its making me feel like valuable person with bunch of useful skills. I sincerely hope, you will love it so much as we already do, and we will enjoy it together.



 

EMILIA
I’m Emilia, a 22 years old volunteer from the north of Italy. I arrived here in Liepaja almost 3 weeks ago that seems 3 months and 3 days in the same time. The things we have to do are a lot, but I also have the will to do it and do it well. I’m learning how to manage Radi Velo Pats when there’s the public space, and I’m trying with the other volunteers and the people that works there to organize it, keep it clean and safe. In the meantime we are dealing with the promotion of the main event of that season for Radi Vidi Pats, Boltik Baik 2016! Actually the promotion is what I prefer to do the most, because it deals with creativity, team working, art stuff. This week i drew the logo full of animals on freak bikes for the poster that you can find in our Facebook page. I really enjoyed to do that kind of work, it was the first time that the most of the work for the creation of a poster for an important event like Boltik Baik was all on me, and I was a bit scared in the beginning but now I’m really happy and satisfied, hope you like it! While I was finishing the poster, on Saturday afternoon, other volunteers were editing the creepy and stunning teaser that you can find on the Facebook page and on Youtube! This week we are going to make another poster with the cultural program and another amazing teaser is coming soon!
